Terms of Service
The terms that apply when your school subscribes to and uses ShuleMatrix.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using ShuleMatrix ("the Platform"), your school ("Customer", "you") agrees to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a school, you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. The service
ShuleMatrix provides school management software delivered as a subscription service. Available modules may include admissions, academics, assessment, attendance, finance, resources, reporting and other school operations depending on the school's plan and deployment.
3. Subscription & billing
- Plans are billed per school, per term, as described on our pricing page.
- Payment is due before the start of each billing term unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Cancellation, refund, renewal and any negotiated payment terms are governed by the school's accepted order form or subscription agreement. Where those documents differ from this page, the signed commercial terms control.
4. School responsibilities
- Ensuring the accuracy of data entered into the Platform
- Managing user accounts and access levels for your own staff
- Obtaining any necessary parental/guardian consent for data collected about students
- Notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access
5. Our responsibilities
- Operating the subscribed service using reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the deployment
- Keeping your school's data logically isolated from other schools
- Providing support channels as described on our support page
6. Data ownership
Your school retains ownership of all data entered into the Platform. On termination, you may request an export of your data within a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted from our systems.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Platform to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to access another school's data, or interfere with the Platform's normal operation.
8. Limitation of liability
Any limitation or allocation of liability is governed by the school's executed subscription agreement and applicable Kenyan law. ShuleMatrix does not use this public page to replace negotiated or legally required terms.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription at the end of a billing term with notice as described in your plan. We may suspend access immediately in cases of non-payment or a breach of these Terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We will notify schools of material changes to these Terms before they take effect.
