ShuleMatrix started with one question a headteacher asked us directly: "why do I still have to compile results by hand every term?" Everything we've built since has been an answer to that question.
Most school software in Kenya was built for a curriculum that no longer exists. CBC changed what schools need to track — competencies, pathways, portfolios — and we built ShuleMatrix specifically around that, instead of retrofitting an old 8-4-4 system.
We pilot directly with schools before wide release. Every module on this platform exists because a real headteacher, deputy, or class teacher asked for it, or because we watched them work around a gap with a paper register or a WhatsApp group.
We don't think of ShuleMatrix as an "exams app." It's meant to be the single place a school's admissions, academics, finance, library, lab and communications all live — connected, not siloed into five different tools.
We're in active pilot with schools in Mombasa and Nyamira counties, working closely with each one as we expand module by module. If you'd like to be one of our early partner schools, we'd love to talk.
Competencies and pathways are core data structures, not an afterthought bolted onto an old system.
Your records are yours. We don't sell data, and every school's data is isolated from every other school's.
If a feature is on our roadmap and not shipped yet, we say so — on this site and in the product.
